Casting is a manufacturing process that requires a mold and a liquid material. The liquid material is allowed to solidify after being poured into the mold. The object that is solidified is commonly called a Casting, which needs to be broken out of or ejected from the mold. This is a simplified version of the Casting process.
Casting materials consists of mainly metals or other cold setting materials that cures after mixing two or more components. Examples of such materials are plaster, clay, concrete and epoxy. This method is most suitable for making complex shaped objects that would otherwise be challenging and economically wrong to make using other methods.
